Family visit

This week has just flown by! My sister, Lindsey, and her new son, Cooper visited and stayed with us for several days this week, and we had a great time! Cooper is only about 10-11 weeks old, and Lindsey's husband was out of town for the week so she decided to come here so she could spend some time with us and we could help each other out.

Avery and her Aunt Lindsey

She arrived on Tuesday afternoon, and had dinner with us. We were able to go outside with Avery and Cooper for about a half hour after dinner to get some fresh air, and play! Avery is still jealous when I hold Cooper, but she got much better after a few days. On Wednesday, we made French toast and hung out in the morning. Then we went to Target and Carter's to pick up a few things. It was nice to get out and walk around the stores. Avery does pretty well, and loves going to Carter's because she can run around there and it's a small store so I know she won't go far! That was pretty much our day on Wednesday. Thursday was much of the same, but we went out to lunch at one of my favorite burger places...Bar 145. Avery and Cooper both did well in the restaurant, and then we walked around a local store that carries Vera Bradley bags. When we came home, Avery went down for a nap, and I actually watched Coop while Lindsey went for a run. Friday it snowed again in the morning, but it stopped and Lindsey and Cooper went home in the afternoon.

Me and Cooper (not so happy)

Lindsey has Cooper on an 'easy' routine which stands for 'Eat - Activity - Sleep - You,' and this has made Cooper much more predictable during the day. It was easy for me to step in and know if he was ready to play on his activity mat, or take a nap, or when he needed his mom for food :) When they were here a month ago for Avery's birthday, Cooper had a "fussy period" in the evenings, but now that's pretty much gone! He was a great baby for the week, and I'm really looking forward to Avery and him playing together more!!
