Easter weekend

It's beginning to feel like spring time around here finally! I'm so happy that the weather is warming up and Kendall can finally be outdoors! Avery is happy too because it means more time on her scooter and tricycle, and playing on the swing set.

Last week I had another clogged duct, and felt pretty terrible on Sunday and Monday. I called my doctor, and by the time I finally got antibiotics on Tuesday, it was better. I didn't take them, but I'm glad to have them on hand if I happen to get another. I'm being very proactive to prevent it from happening again because it's very frustrating. It seems like every time I try to run, I get a clogged duct the next day, and I think it's from wearing a tight sports bra to prevent "bouncing." For a little while I'm going to stick to lifting weights and lower impact cardio to see if that helps.

Other than that, everything is going pretty well around here! Avery is amazing me every day with how much she is learning. She's very creative and will play with toys like these blocks and build all types of towers with them. She loves doing puzzles and is getting really good at them. She can focus and concentrate on one activity for a pretty good amount of time for a toddler.  She also picks up on everything, and says the funniest things. She has two babies that she plays with a lot...Baby Coco and Baby Willis, and I always tell her that she is their mommy (just like I'm her and Kendall's mommy.) The other day she asked Travis who Baby Willis's dad is. He didn't know what to say hahaha, so then she told me that Baby Coco is Baby Willis's dad. I told her ok, and now it's a little confusing haha. I do love how she's using her imagination so much now, and playing with her is lots of fun.

Kendall is learning a lot too! She holding toys now and rolling to her side fairly often. She also loves sitting in her bumbo seat, and sat in the grocery cart for the first time this week! For me, it will be easier to go to the store because now I can fit things in the cart (without her giant car seat in the way.)

We had a fabulous Easter yesterday, and it made me so grateful for my husband and children. The Easter bunny brought some little things for the girls, and Avery enjoyed finding the baskets. Avery received some puzzles, a piggy bank, new tennis shoes, and chocolates. Kendall got a new rattle, some teething toys, and some spring clothes. We headed to church and it went so smoothly. Kendall napped the entire time, and Avery sat through the entire service and behaved so well. She even hummed and sang along to the hymns. After church, we prepared and smoked some pork and venison  for our Easter dinner. My in-laws came over and we had a great Easter dinner and a small Easter egg hunt for Avery in the backyard. It was great to relax and spend time with family, and we took a little walk in the evening since it was so beautiful outside. After the kids went to bed, Travis and I finished our day with a beer, and Ten Commandments, my favorite movie to watch annually on Easter.
