We had our appointment yesterday morning, and it went well. We started with the ultrasound, and brought an envelope with us for the gender. Travis's mom came over early to watch Avery so that we could focus on the new baby at the appointment without distractions :)
The baby actually weighs 13 ounces at this point, and is measuring exactly to my due date. He/She looks healthy, and I joked with Travis that it looks just like Avery (haha...not that you can really tell.) We had to close our eyes a few times for the technician to confirm the gender, and we didn't peek.
After the ultrasound, they took my weight, and confirmed that I'm only up 4 pounds, which is great news for me! Now, it seems like I'm up more because I initially lost weight, so I'm up more from that, but only 4 from my actual starting weight. Travis almost didn't believe it because I have such a tummy on me already, but the scale doesn't lie.
My blood pressure is still low, but luckily I haven't been feeling lightheaded as often, so I'm not too worried about that. My doctor also said that occasional nosebleeds were normal, and she wasn't too concerned. She also said that if I start getting more lower back pain, to stop doing what I'm doing, and do something else. I told her it seems like I only get it from walking a lot, and she said it's normal, but hopefully as the baby and my uterus get higher in my stomach, they will lift up away from that area, and that pain should go away.
After my appointment, Travis and I went to Bob Evans for breakfast, and then he went to work, and I went shopping with Avery and Travis's mom. I'm starting to get excited for this little one, and can't wait for the gender reveal next weekend.
